City of Cape Coral recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Cape Coral Special Events Division is hosting the first “Brews on the River” Craft Beer Festival.

The event will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, at Tarpon Point Marina, located at 6179 Black Marlin Lane in Cape Coral.

Tickets to the festival include a souvenir tasting glass and allow you to sample over 40 beers from local breweries around Southwest Florida.

There are three different levels of entry to choose from: Beer Enthusiast, General Admission, and Designated Driver.

Beer Enthusiast admission, which starts at 3 p.m., gives guests access to the event one hour earlier, one-on-one time with our brewery reps, and limited release beers.. These tickets cost $40 in advance and $45 at the gate.

General Admission begins at 4 p.m. and costs $30 in advance and $35 at the gate. Designated driver tickets cost $10 in advance and $15 at the gate and must be included in the purchase of a general admission or beer enthusiast ticket.

This event is strictly for attendees ages 21 and up, and a valid driver’s license is required for entry.

Onsite parking is limited, so ridesharing is strongly encouraged. Free shuttles will be available starting at 3 p.m. for those who park in lots near Tarpon Point Marina.

“The Freecoasters” will be performing live from 5 – 7 p.m. Local food trucks will be available and selling food at an additional cost.

Breweries participating in the event include Coppertail Brewing Co., Big Storm Brewing Co., Riptide Brewing Company, Scotty’s Bierwerks, Kona Brewing Co., and Veza Sur Brewing Co., among others.
