Following a 2-1 weekend in the Bucs Club Classic over the weekend, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers remained in the Top 20 of the NJCAA National Rankings this week, checking in at #18, down one spot from the first poll of the regular season last week.

The Bucs are 4-1 on the year after earning wins over John A. Logan and Pensacola State and dropping a hard fought battle to #6 Southern Idaho over the weekend. The Bucs have been one of the top defensive teams in the country so far this season, holding opponents to under 30% shooting and allowing just 54.2 points per game through five contests.

Trinity Valley was the unanimous #1 this week with Northwest Florida, Blinn, Hutchinson, and Chipola all sliding up a spot to make up the top five in week two.  23 of the 25 teams in the poll were holdovers from last week with Collin making the biggest jump from receiving votes to #19 in week two while South Plains suffered the biggest hit, falling all the way from #4 to #24 after a pair of losses.

The Bucs will have a chance to improve their positioning this weekend as they square off with #13 Eastern Florida on Friday and Santa Fe on Saturday in the Best Western Classic in Gainesville.
