#3 Sharks Fall in South Florida Showdown

Despite the fight till the end, the scoreboard read 3-0 as No. 3 Nova Southeastern suffered its first defeat of the season against St. Thomas, ending the Sharks’ 17-game streak without a loss in regulation.

HOW IT HAPPENED

· The Sharks opened the game on the wrong foot, as the Bobcats were able to sneak one past Eduardo D’Avino, taking a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute.

· NSU quickly went down field looking to tie it back up, but Juanchi Nunez’s shot attempt was knocked away by the Bobcats’ goalkeeper.

· After some miscues, the Bobcats were able to fire another one in the back of the net, taking a 2-0 lead in the 30th minute.

· After getting rewarded a penalty kick, the Bobcats were able to get another one past giving them a 3-0 lead in the 37th minute.

· In the 78th minute, Michael Steckmest was able to deny the Bobcats of a goal, keeping the score at 3-0 Bobcats.

· Defenses on both sides were locked down for the majority of the second half, limiting all chances for either offense.
